‘The only ones who tend to the mosques of Allāh are those who believe in Allāh and the Last Day and establish prayer, pay the zakāt and fear none but Allāh. Perhaps they are from those who are truly guided.’

`{`at-Tawbah, 9:8`}`

In Shaʿbān 1440/April 2019, the Olive Mount vision was shared, and in Shaʿbān 1441/May 2020, the Million Pound Challenge was launched to initiate the first phase of the project.  With the enabling grace of Allāh Most High, and your incredible generosity and support, an astonishing £1.7m was raised within a year.

Despite the strong competition, on the last day of Ramaḍān 1442/May 2021, Greensville Trust were successful with their bid to win the Heaton Mount site in Bradford.  The site was legally acquired on the Day of ʿArafat in 1442/July 2021, and the city-based campus of the Olive Mount vision became a reality.

Shortly after this, al-Ḥabīb ʿUmar bin Ḥafīẓ blessed the Olive Mount campus with the new name of Muṣṭafā Mount – a fitting title for one of the finest sites in Bradford.

All praise and thanks are due to Allāh Most High for His generous blessings and the success of the project so far.  Gratitude is also extended to our teachers for their duʿā, guidance, unwavering commitment and assistance, and to you for supporting the Muṣṭafā Mount vision with your generous contributions, duʿāʾ, and time.

This Ramaḍān we invite you to share in the reward of elevating the Name of Allāh Most High, by establishing a most important part of the Muṣṭafā Mount campus, the Rawḍah Mosque.

Our Legacy, Their Future

The success and impact of the initiatives and activities of the Greensville Trust on local, regional and national levels created the foundation and the impetus for a greater vision: Muṣṭafā Mount (formerly Olive Mount).

Intentions and Vision

Islam is built on 5 pillars, and likewise, there are 5 intentions for establishing Muṣṭafā Mount:

  1. To raise the Name of God uppermost
  2. To establish a waqf (religious endowment)
  3. To take responsibility for the raising of the next generation in accordance with the prophetic way. Our Legacy: Their Future
  4. To develop a blueprint for sacred space in the West which exemplifies the prophetic way
  5. To develop our own ‘independent’ sources of food and water
The Name: Muṣṭafā Mount

Al-Ḥabīb ʿUmar bin Ḥafīẓ blessed the site with the name of ‘Muṣṭafā Mount’, thus connecting it to one of the names of the beloved Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ.  Its meanings include ‘chosen (and ‘chosen as the finest’), selected, pure, and free of all deficiency.’   This name also connects the Muṣṭafā Mount site to al-Ḥabīb ʿUmar’s own establishment Dār al-Muṣṭafā, which is renowned for teaching sacred knowledge to thousands of students and teachers from around the world, many of whom have gone on to open their own centres of learning.
